Quality Inspection & Factory Audit

Inspect Before You Ship. Protect Your Investment. Returning defective goods from China is nearly impossible. Our inspection team catches quality issues BEFORE your goods leave the factory.

SECTION 1

Why You Must Inspect Before Shipping

Here's a reality most new importers learn the hard way: once defective goods reach India, you have almost no recourse. The Chinese supplier won't take returns. Reshipping is prohibitively expensive. And your customers will receive poor-quality products that damage your reputation and business.

The cost of a single pre-shipment inspection is typically 1–2% of your order value. The cost of receiving a defective shipment? It can be 100% of your order value — plus lost customers, wasted time, and damaged brand reputation.

C2I Logistics provides independent, third-party quality inspections at Chinese factories. Our inspectors are not affiliated with any supplier — their only job is to protect YOUR interests.

We inspect your goods using internationally accepted AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) standards, provide detailed photo and video documentation, and give you a clear PASS/FAIL recommendation before shipping.

SECTION 2

Our 5-Step Inspection Process

Step 1 — Inspection Booking

You share your product specifications, quality expectations, and order details. We schedule an inspection date with the factory (typically when 80–100% of production is complete for pre-shipment inspection).

Step 2 — Inspector Assignment

We assign a trained inspector from the nearest city to the factory. Our inspectors cover all major manufacturing regions — Guangdong, Zhejiang, Fujian, Jiangsu, Shandong, and more.

Step 3 — On-Site Inspection

Our inspector visits the factory and conducts a thorough inspection based on your specifications:

  • Visual appearance and finish check

  • Dimensional measurement verification

  • Product functionality and performance testing

  • Packaging integrity and labeling accuracy

  • Random sampling based on AQL 2.5 standard

  • Carton drop test for shipping durability

  • Weight verification and quantity counting

Step 4 — Detailed Report with Photos & Videos

Within 24 hours of the inspection, you receive a comprehensive report including:

  • 50–100+ high-resolution photographs of inspected goods

  • Video footage of functionality testing

  • Defect classification (Critical / Major / Minor)

  • Clear PASS / FAIL / PENDING recommendation

  • Summary of all findings with specific observations

Step 5 — Decision & Action

Based on the report, you decide whether to:

  • ✅ Approve shipment (PASS)

  • 🔄 Ask the supplier to rework or replace defective units

  • ❌ Reject the batch and request re-production

We coordinate all communication with the supplier for corrections if needed.

SECTION 3

Inspection Types

Pre-Production Inspection (PPI)

Conducted BEFORE manufacturing starts. Verifies raw materials, components, color swatches, and production setup. Catches issues before money is spent on full production.

When to use: First-time orders with a new supplier, complex products, or custom manufacturing.

During Production Inspection (DPI)

Conducted when 20–40% of production is complete. Identifies systemic defects early so the factory can correct them before finishing the entire batch.

When to use: Large orders (5,000+ units), products with multiple variants, or when working with an unproven supplier.

Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI)

Our most popular inspection. Conducted when 80–100% of goods are packed and ready. Full AQL-based random sampling of finished products.

When to use: Every order. This is the minimum inspection we recommend for all importers.

Container Loading Supervision (CLS)

Our inspector physically watches and documents the loading of goods into the shipping container. Verifies quantities match the packing list, goods are not swapped, and loading is done properly to prevent transit damage.

When to use: High-value shipments, FCL (full container) orders, or if you've experienced discrepancies in past shipments.

SECTION 4

Factory Audit — Verify the Manufacturer

A factory audit goes deeper than product inspection — it evaluates the SUPPLIER itself. Before committing to a long-term relationship, you need to know if the factory is real, capable, and reliable.

Our factory audit covers:

  • Factory premises tour with photo documentation

  • Business license and export license verification

  • Production line capacity assessment

  • Quality management system review (ISO certifications, etc.)

  • Worker conditions and safety compliance

  • Machinery, equipment, and technology evaluation

  • Order history and existing client references

  • Financial stability indicators

  • R&D capability (if applicable)

Deliverable: A comprehensive Factory Audit Report (15–25 pages) with scoring on key parameters, photographs, and our recommendation on whether to proceed with the supplier.

SECTION 6

Ideal For

🛒 E-Commerce Sellers — Your Amazon/Flipkart reviews depend on product quality. One bad batch = one-star reviews = lost sales.

🏷️ Brand Owners — Your brand name is on the product. Ensure every unit meets your quality standards.

📦 Bulk Importers — Importing 10,000+ units? Even a 2% defect rate means 200 defective products. Catch them before shipping.

🆕 First-Time Importers — Don't trust a supplier you've never met to deliver perfect goods on the first order. Verify first.

🏭 Manufacturers — Importing components from China? Defective inputs = defective outputs. Inspect raw materials before they enter your production line.

SECTION 7 — FAQ

How much does an inspection cost?

Pre-shipment inspection starts from $199 per man-day. Factory audits are quoted separately based on factory size and location. Contact us for exact pricing.

How many pieces do your inspectors check?

We follow the AQL 2.5 sampling standard — the same used by Walmart, Amazon, and major global brands. The sample size depends on your total order quantity (e.g., for 5,000 units, we inspect approximately 200 randomly selected pieces).

Can I request inspection for a specific aspect only?

Yes. You can define custom inspection criteria. For example, inspect only color consistency, or only functional testing, or only packaging.

What happens if inspection fails?

We communicate the defects to the supplier with photographs and request rework or replacement. You decide whether to accept partial shipment, wait for corrections, or cancel the order.

Don't Ship Without Inspecting First

One inspection can save your entire order. Book a quality check today.
